Find out if you can make your gift more meaningful!

Many employers will match charitable contributions made by their employees, board members, or retirees. This could mean it is possible to double or even triple your contribution to The Tandana Foundation. Matching gifts provide a way for you to maximize the impact of your support.

Stock Gifts

Gifts of appreciated stock are an easy and beneficial way to make a donation to support The Tandana Foundation. You receive credit for the full market value of the gift, and you avoid capital gains tax. In order to ensure that we receive and properly acknowledge your stock gift, please follow the following steps.

In order to properly acknowledge your gift please notify us as soon as your transfer instructions have been given to your broker. This is important because your broker will not necessarily notify us and our broker often does not know the originating source of the donation. In-Kind

In-Kind Donations

The Tandana Foundation appreciates certain in-kind gifts. That being said, in many cases a monetary donation is most helpful in allowing us to reach our goals. For example, if you want to donate items that can easily be purchased in Ecuador or Mali, it is much easier if you donate money and our staff purchases the items in-country. Purchasing locally also allows us to support the local economy and saves on transportation costs.

In-kind gifts can be very helpful for Tandana, if they meet the conditions below:

Need driven: Driven by a genuine and thorough understanding of the needs of our community partners or our organization

Quality controlled: Goods are carefully chosen and of appropriate quality

Determined by informed choices. Please contact us to discuss the in-kind gift you have in mind.

Examples of needed and appropriate in-kind gifts could include:

Specific medications or medical supplies which are listed on our Medications and Medical Supplies needed list (please ask for an up to date version of this list)
Items on our Amazon wish list

Pro bono professional skills, such as coaching, marketing, fundraising, legal counsel, graphic design, and others

Legacy Giving

Incorporating The Tandana Foundation into your will or estate plan will allow future generations to weave friendships and strengthen communities in Mali and Ecuador. Making a legacy gift is also an important way for you to maximize the financial rewards of your philanthropy. Create A Legacy

Pay tribute to family and friends through a memorial or honorary gift to The Tandana Foundation. Your gift can be made in memory of a deceased relative or friend, or it can be made in honor of a special occasion such as a birthday or wedding.
