The Tandana Foundation is turning 20!

Join us in celebrating this significant milestone as we raise funds for displaced students in rural Mali. We are seeking special support to build a new school to serve the hundreds of Malian students who desire to continue their studies after having to leave their homes due to ongoing insecurity in the country. In addition, funds raised will go toward supporting clean water projects in highland Ecuador. Water is life – and many indigenous communities around Otavalo lack access to safe and reliable water sources.

Attendees will enjoy delicious food, great fellowship, music and merriment, and much more. Further details on the program and special guest speakers will be shared closer to the event.

Celebrate 20 years with us and help our friends reach their goals of education for their children and clean water for their communities. Your support will make a difference in their lives!

Daganongo School in Mali

An increasing number of families are seeking refuge in Bandiagara from ongoing insecurity and violence in other parts of the country. Hundreds of children of these families are attending the Daganongo school, a school that was set up just to accommodate displaced children and whose director and teachers have also been displaced. The school lacks basic resources and has only makeshift facilities. The school’s poor conditions are amplifying the difficulties the students are already experiencing after having to leave their homes, such as not having enough food or permanent shelter. We are seeking to support this school with a variety of needs, from food to infrastructure.

Water Projects in Ecuador

Tandana has assisted several communities in Ecuador to bring safe water into their homes. Without potable water systems, residents often have to rely on local waterways that are at risk of contamination and can cause illness if the water is consumed.  By implementing these systems, we aim to improve public health and reduce waterborne diseases. Everyone deserves clean water to drink. We are seeking support to build new systems in the communities that need them and repair existing systems in the communities which already have systems that are not up to standards. Your contribution can have a significant impact on improving the quality of life for these communities.
